Here at Ruger's Ridge Labradors we are adamant our puppies start with a solid foundation when they begin their next journey. Our puppies are all vet checked and healthy before they are picked up by there new family members! All puppies are released at 10 weeks of age!
*No puppy will be released any earlier than 10 weeks*

What does my puppy come home with?
​All puppies will come home with the following: ​

-
2,4,6, and 8 week deworming
-
6 and 8 week old shots
-
Dew claws removed at 3 days old
-
Paid AKC registration
-
Paid LIFETIME microchips through "AKC Reunite"
-
Socialization with adult dogs, elderly, and children
-
Exposure sound stimulation (ie. gun shots/loud noise)
-
Non live bird wings and live bird exposure with doves/pheasants
-
Exposure to deer antlers
-
Exposure to starting to "stack" in a show stance

AKC Registration Status?
All puppies will leave our home pre-registered, we cover the cost of registration for you! ALL puppies/dogs will be registered with the kennel name
"RUGER'S RIDGE"
before or after the name the family or breeder agrees upon.

We offer both:

Limited AKC Registration (no breeding rights)
-
Full AKC Registration (breeding rights)

If you are seeking Full Breeding rights through the AKC there is an extra cost to secure those rights.
​
The puppy must pass all expected OFA certification before full rights are released at the age of 2 years old, when health testing can begin.


When can I bring our puppy home?
Puppies are released to new homes at 10 weeks old.

No exception on early pick up!
Arrangements can be made for later pick up at the breeders' discretion. Boarding fees may be set in place dependent on schedule of pickup.
Are the parents health tested?
All parents go through a rigorous health testing process to ensure the betterment of the Labrador breed.

We follow the AKC standards set forth for color and structure.

What we test for:

Hip Dysplasia via OFA

Elbow Dysplasia via OFA
-
Yearly or Lifetime Cardiac (heart) Exams via OFA

Yearly Ophthalmology (eye) Exams via OFA
-
Genetic Panel for common traits, conditions, and diseases common to the Labrador Breed, via Embark/PawPrint
-
Temperament: all dogs must have a happy and amenable attitude when interacting with adults, kids, elderly, and other outside canines

All our dogs must past all of these above health testing requirements to be considered to become parents in our breeding program!
