Our Family

Thank you for stopping by our site my name is Sydney, I am a veterinary assistant at Iowa State University and a Labrador enthusiast. My husband Ethan is a diesel mechanic. In April of 2025 our son Wyatt joined our little family! He is enjoying his time being "raised by dogs", and going on adventures with us when we have spare time outside of work! The gals and Moose are learning all of the nuances to what a child is, and the patience required to interact with Wyatt!

I grew up near Aplington, IA and showed livestock and participated in 4-H. My family always had Labradors growing up, and we raised litters primarily used for pheasant and goose hunting.  Ethan's family also had a few Labradors while growing up as family companions. When we got together we had no doubt our first dog we would own would be a Labrador. In 2018, while on a date at the Cheesecake Factory, we found a post for an older yellow male puppy in Minnesota. The rest is history as Ruger our foundational male joined our family! Shortly after getting Ruger we found Dixie and started our breeding program in 2018.

In 2025 we unfortunately lost our boy Ruger unexpectedly. While our program unfortunately took a small stumble in the wake of Ruger's passing, it opened a door into a new avenue of Labrador Retrievers. In the summer of 2025  Ethan and I were given an opportunity to buy a new male from Florida! This male has pivoted our program into a new direction, and Ethan and I are excited to begin showing our Labradors in conformation shows. Our goal is to provide a strong structured Labrador that can be shown, hunted, or a couch potato for our future families.
